Work in progress

The flathead is getting closer and closer to the result, I'm really satisfyed so far, but the biggest satisfaction will be to see the engine and exhaust after the final paintjob (black and white).

The wheels and the front fender is fresh painted, the new tires and shift knob is indtalled. Besiddes that I have tried to fake an old race number sign, I don't know if I am really satisfyed about that, yet. But I like the idea about the bike being a "weekend racer".

I have installed the homemade battery box, fabricated by the previous owner, and I have fabricated a lid for it.

Very soon I'll finish the head light for it, witch is an original 7" head light that I have chopped down to 6" to fit the chopped down look.

Western news!!

My good friend Rune, who is also an aircraft engineer like me, has a really nice WLC project going on.

Rune bourght the bike from my friend Lau from Motorious Copenhagen around a year ago and now he is in the progress giving fresh new life to this beauty.

Here is some pictures of what he have been doing so far. The rims, hubs, frame and folks has been painted black, the forks got new bolts and springs. He has made fresh new bushings for the cams, replaced the piston rod bearings, and bourght a brunch of nice parts, like colony bolt kits, cadium plated spokes and a new deliciuos magneto.

Besiddes that he made a really good choise buying performance parts for the old boy; Modern carb, turett & Osbooume stroker flywheels. Fancy pistons, WR cams and a lot of otter goodies 

Fulton Shift Knob

For the Flathead I have been searching for a nice Fulton shift knob for a resonable price, now it finnally showed up :-)

Tires

Tires means everything for the look of a bike.
For the Flathead I chose Firestone ANS Military, 4.50 18". These tires reminds me a lot about the old tires, they are just a little bit more refined and slightly wider, which hopefully will look great with the fenders.
I'm really looking forward to install them :-)

A few weeks ago I bourght a lot of 11ea old tractor lights, today they arrived.. 30$ "Buy Now" on eBay, that was too funny to ignore :-)
I'm planing to use one of them for the flathead, I hope that at least one of them is good for this purpose.
